Edo is an ice tea drink manufactured using a unique technology that fully complies with the traditional way of tea brewing.  It preserves the taste, flavor and all useful properties of tea.

We brew our Edo green tea at temperature not exceeding 60°C and our black tea – at temperature not exceeding 85°C so they can preserve their flavors.  Previously washed tea leaves are pond with hot water and are kept for 3-4 minutes in case of green and 8-12 minutes in case black tea.

This range of products includes four sophisticated Oriental flavors:  green tea with Sakura (Japan), black tea with lime (India), green tea with plum (Japan), green tea with jasmine (China).  Edo is a collection of Eastern teas and a real Oriental journey!

How the Edo collection was developed?

During the EDO period (XVII century) the traditions of Japanese tea ceremony was at their greatest bloom.  That was the time when the famous Tea Houses were founded, tea ceremony principles were established and the art of tea brewing reached its highest point.  Tea Houses in the town of Edo (now Tokyo) competed to have the best tea collection and gathered the best teas from all over the East…

Inspired by the unique properties of tea from the collections of EDO epoch we have developed a collection comprising of the best teas from the East.

We use the most sophisticated components to make our Edo teas:

Green tea with jasmine.  In China the astringent flavor of jasmine meant the delightful and abundant life.  In all times it was known for its ability to seduce and intrigue men.  To charm their lovers, Chinese girls enclosed the snow-white jasmine flowers to their love letters and added its delicate flowers into green tea.

Brewed green tea with jasmine flowers.  Alcohol-free drink on plant materials, non-carbonated.  Sterilized and aseptically packed. Ingredients:  water, green leave tea with jasmine flowers, antioxidant – ascorbic acid.

Green tea with Sakura.  Sakura – a Japanese cherry tree – is a Japanese national symbol and its wealth.  Its fruits were the emblem of samurai and associated with the ‘tenderness of a warrior’ virtue:  its pit hard as stone covered by a tender cherry pulp.

Brewed green tea with cherry flavor.  Alcohol-free drink on plant materials, non-carbonated, flavored.  Sterilized and aseptically packed. Ingredients:  water, sugar, green leave tea, citric acid, cherry flavor similar to natural, antioxidant – ascorbic acid.

Green tea with plum.  In Japan the plum (Ume) settled in VIII century and since then it was known by its usefulness.  Plum blossom is a sign of the season.  It is a beautiful sight and symbolizes the forces of nature, their awakening and beginning of spring.

Black tea and lime.  Black tea Darjeeling is the most sophisticated and expensive of all black teas.  It grows in Darjeeling province in India located in the Himalayan foothills, 1000 meters above sea level.  The Himalayan foothills are also considered to be the place of lime’s origin.
